Khashayar Eshkevari

Khashayar Eshkevari is an Iranian kamancheh player, vocalist, composer and multidisciplinary musician. His work is rooted in Persian classical and traditional music and Iranian folk traditions.

He graduated from the Tehran Music Conservatory, specialising in kamancheh, and continues his musical development in the Global Music Programme at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki. His studies have included kamancheh and Persian vocal music with established teachers.

Alongside the kamancheh, Khashayar performs on alto kamancheh and tombak and works as a vocalist. His artistic interests include improvisation, microtonality and intercultural collaboration, connecting Iranian musical elements with contemporary global sounds.

He has performed in concerts and festivals in Iran and Finland and has contributed to ensemble performance, studio recording, composition and cross-cultural projects. As a member of Hawraman Music Group, he performs the kamancheh.
